A Very, Merry Tambo Christmas
The Tambo Arts Council’s Community Christmas Tree exhibition at the Grassland Art Gallery is a joyful showcase of creativity and festive ingenuity. This unique event invited individuals, schools, and businesses to craft Christmas trees from found objects, transforming everyday materials into imaginative works of art. The exhibition highlights the community’s talent, sustainability, and holiday spirit, with each tree reflecting a unique perspective and story.
Judges Jenny Donaldson and Orleen McKellar faced the near-impossible task of selecting winners from such an impressive array of entries. Each tree stood out for its creativity, craftsmanship, and individuality, making the judging process exceedingly difficult. After much deliberation, the judges decided to expand the categories, introducing new awards to honour the diversity and brilliance of the designs on display.
The result is a stunning exhibition that captures the heart of Tambo. School groups brought environmental awareness into their designs, while businesses and individuals created trees that were both innovative and deeply personal. Visitors to the Grassland Art Gallery are treated to a dazzling display of color, texture, and artistic expression. The exhibition not only spreads holiday cheer but also fosters community connection, making it a true celebration of the festive season in Tambo.
